I have so many mason jars. But what do I do with them?!

Mason Jars... When making jam purchases, especially if you do it constantly, the question becomes, what do I do with all of these jars that I have collected? Wait!!! Don't throw them out. There are a few uses that makes them handy.

1) I like dibbling and dabbling in arts and crafts. During the Christmas season, baking and crafts are a staple in our home, and it has been since my kids were little, and still is today. My youngest daughter loves to create and make new things. So, one year we made Christmas tree lighted mason jars. They are so pretty and are good year after year. We pull them out and turn the lights on in the evening time, and it warms up any space it's put in. Most of the supplies you can find at a hobby Lobby or Michael's Stores. We used: craft snow, mini trees &lights, some fake cranberries, and it would be cute if you could also added some little people.

2) Another good way to re-use your jars are for storage. There are so many options when it comes to this. You could: use for spices; especially if you buy in bulk like I do. It sits much prettier on the counter or on your spice rack. If you fry anything at any given time, you could store your oil after its cooled down. I like to store my cotton balls, cotton rounds and q-tips with a lid, so that they don't get dusty. There is nothing worse than using dirty cosmetic items on your face. Yuck!

3) Or, you can save them and use them to drink out of. In the great state of Texas, it's a staple to use mason jars of all different sizes to drink out of. Nice cool lemonade on a hot Texas day, sounds delicious! At some restaurants, I've even seen how they put the silverware in the jars as they carry them outside for dinning. Wow, so creative!

These are just some ideas of how you can make good use out of those empty jam jars. I trust this got your creative juices flowing.

I hope this was helpful,

Happy jamming!
